I was born in Dublin and educated in University College Dublin. I graduated with Honours in 2005. In 2011 I moved to Cork University Maternity Hospital as part of my undergraduate training scheme.

I completed a two year research fellowship in Reproductive Medicine at Waterstone Clinic Cork on the prediction of successful pregnancy from IVF treatment, for which I received my MD from University College Cork in 2020. I worked as a Consultant in Reproductive Medicine at Waterstone Clinic for three years following completion of my specialist training. I was awarded CSCST in 2016 by the Irish Committee on Higher Training and I am on the Medical Council's specialist register for Obstetrics and Gynaecology. I am a in Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Cork University Maternity Hospital since 2017. I also provide Gynaecology services at South Infirmary Victoria University Hospital Cork.

I am a national trainer for the Royal College of Physicians Specialist training scheme. I provide undergraduate teaching and postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and I am actively involved in clinical research in Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Reproductive Medicine.

I thoroughly enjoy my job, providing compassionate care to women at all stages of their reproductive and post-reproductive years. I understand the vulnerability that women experience with these aspects of their health, be it trying for a baby, pregnancy health or gynaecological concerns and I endeavour to provide women with supportive, expert care.

My areas of expertise include antenatal care, vaginal birth, caesarean birth, VBAC, sub fertility, ambulatory and operative hysteroscopy, laparoscopy, abnormal vaginal bleeding, Mirena coil insertion, PCOS, pelvic pain, gynaecological ultrasound.
